our travels

Traveling is so important to us. It is a major way I come to understand my thoughts, shortcomings, values and strengths. I don't think we have to travel far to gain perspective – just a trip to the mountains or a weekend getaway to another state can be enough to change or adjust our attitudes and ideologies. Travel has been and continues to be an important part of our relationship. We fell in love abroad and love the unique opportunities travel provides.

Kory studied linguistics in college and one of his favorite parts of traveling is studying the local languages and getting to know the people we meet while we're there. For us, traveling is all about interacting with the people we meet, forming friendships, and being completely immersed in the local culture. We love seeing the sites but sites can be taken anywhere – it is only the people that are truly unique to each area. We just love meeting and hearing the stories of others.
